Trailblazer's Panel

 

Cheryl Martin  is currently a moderator, news anchor and reporter/producer at Black Entertainment Television (BET), a cable network. She hosts BET's Sunday news analysis program. "Lead Story", which brings together some of the top African American journalists to discuss the major national and international news events of the week.

 


Darien C. Dash

formed DME Interactive Holdings, Inc. as a privately held company in August of 1994 with the mission of "Expanding the Hardware and Software infrastructure within Minority Communities." DME Interactive Holdings, Inc. became the first publicly traded African-American owned Internet Company in history, June of 1999. Most recently DME Interactive Holdings, Inc. has embarked on "Places of Color", a need urban-oriented ISP services and hardware consumer line. "Places of Color" is the vehicle connecting urban communities to technology-based tools that will allow them to improve their lifestyles.

 


Terri Williams  is the founder and president of The Terrie Williams Agency,, one of the country's premiere public relations and communications firms. Founded in 1988, the company specializes in public relations, media relations and special event management for some of the best-known entertainment, sports, political and corporate figures and organizations in the United States and abroad. Her clients have included superstar Eddie Murphy and jazz legend Miles Davis, as well as such corporations as Time Warner, AT&T, HBO and Miramax Films. Terrie Williams is also the author of the best-selling business book The Personal Touch: What You Really Need to Succeed in Today's Fast-Paced Business World.

 


Norm Bond  is the co-founder of Next Step Enterprises, Inc. The firm publishes Next Step magazine, an international publication devoted to multiculturalism and diversity. The quarterly has a readership of 100,000. Next Step is the nations leading diversity publication with subscribers in Africa, Belgium and Budapest, Hungary. Bond has a broad business, technical and communications background. He spent nine years in various high technology marketing and sales positions, including nearly five years as a marketing specialist with the IBM Corporation. Bond received his undergraduate degree with a dual major in business and economics in 1986 as well as a masters degree in information science, from the University of Pittsburgh.
