National Center for African American Leadership Overview

A wide range of programs addresses both the special challenges and the traditional expectations faced by minority professionals at different career levels from the early management stages to the senior executive rank. Leaders who are committed to their own professional growth and to their organization's success will experience an interactive learning environment. They will have a rare opportunity to engage in rich and productive discussions with other capable professionals away from daily responsibilities and with time to reflect on personal leadership styles.

Preparing for the demands of 21st Century, participants take part in a series of challenging and dynamic experiences that address management skills and leadership competencies from intrapersonal, interpersonal, and organizational perspectives. Subsequently, they develop practical career-enhancing strategies to increase productivity within their organizations by leveraging the power of the African American leader. Alumni form a network around the country who may continue to share their thoughts through direct contact and through the annual leadership conference.
